Welcome to Lisa Mulligan Law Offices and thank you for your interest in my practice. Being accused of a crime can be a frustrating and frightening ordeal. I am an experienced criminal defense attorney who can help put power back in your hands. Over the last ten years, I have handled everything from misdemeanors to capital murder. I have been entrusted with property crimes, drug charges, sex offenses, third-strikes and violent crimes. I am one of only about fifty lawyers in the state of Washington who has been certified by the Supreme Court as qualified to serve as lead counsel in potential death penalty cases.
In negotiations and in the courtroom, I am a fearless advocate who can help you take back control of your case. My greatest strengths are in cross-examination and closing arguments. Before every trial, I make sure that I am fully prepared for each witness and every foreseeable legal issue. When surprises come up, I am quick on my feet and calm under pressure.
I treat my clients the way that I would like to be treated if I was in their position. I don’t make promises that I don’t intend to keep. I am patient, compassionate and knowledgeable. I believe that open and honest communication between a lawyer and a client is extremely important. I’m always happy to share good news, but I’m also ready to tell my clients things they don’t want to hear if it is the real truth. I want to make sure that my clients always know the potential risks, costs, and benefits of every choice along the way so that they can make informed decisions about what is best for them.
